Things You Need to Know

Holme Lea Creations has one goal in mind: giving our customers a fair, rewarding and enjoyable shopping experience. We conduct business according to the same values, knowing that better service equals loyal customers. When placing an order you agree to all of our terms and conditions set out in this document, and that you have also read and agree with the additional terms set out in our Postage and Packaging and Privacy Policy.

No use, copying of text or design is allowed and everything on this site is the legal property of the owners and proprietors.

We offer a guarantee on all items supplied by us and we aim to make all of our customers happy. However there may be times when items arrive damaged due to delivery. Customers must inform us within 2 days of delivery to receive a replacement order of that item, a refund for the item or a gift voucher. Items will be replaced at no cost to you once we received evidence of damaged goods. Evidence can be provided by emailing a photograph to us of the damaged items. We will refund if you wish. If the fault is ours we will replace or refund immediately.

We will not be liable for the cost of postage for any returned items, however if a new item is shipped out as a replacement, we will cover this charge.

Any missing/damaged/incorrect items from your order must be reported to us within 2 days of receipt of your parcel. Claims after that period will not be honoured.

If you buy goods under a distance contract you have the right to cancel your contract within a period of 14 days, beginning with the day after the day on which you receive the goods.
Goods must be returned to us in their original condition unless they have been notified to us as damaged (by proof of a photograph) within 2 days, but we cannot accept the return of personalised items designed specifically for you.
A refund will be given once the goods are received intact and in their original conditions and will include the delivery charges but we will not refund delivery charges on partial returns. When returning goods please check with us first on how this will be arranged as we may pay for a courier to collect or ask you to put back in the post, this depends on the size of your order. We may not require the return of some goods to receive a replacement or refund.
In all instances where you wish to cancel your order within the 14 day period please contact us initially to discuss and we will do our utmost to assist. The refund will be processed within 14 days after receipt of the returned goods. Please email us first through or call us to arrange a return. In most cases where we have sent something in error we do not require items to be returned. If however you wish to cancel your order within the cancellation period we will expect all the goods to be returned in their original condition for the full refund to be given.

Please note that all our charges include VAT at the standard rate of 20%.

We aim to process all orders within a timescale of around 2-3 working days, however please remember that bespoke / personalisation of any kind to an item may increase this timescale meaning that it can take up to 2 weeks to create and then send. 
During busy periods such as seasonal times (Christmas, etc.) timescales may increase, but we will notify you on our website as to the current estimated timescales.  

We Reserve the right to temporarily remove any item for sale on our website, and to also completely discontinue any item.

As we use PayPal for our preferred payment method, when placing and order with us you do not use our server, all communications relating to payment information is handled by PayPal and their Secure Encrypted servers to ensure the payment information you provide is handled securely.

General Data Protection Regulation Policy (GDPR) - effective from 25th May 2018
1. Introduction
What is GDPR - The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016 / 679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. 
1.1 What data does Holme Lea Creations collect?
When an order is placed via our Facebook page or our Website we ask for the following information in order to process your items and dispatch them to you; Full Name, Address and email address to allow for a formal invoice to be produced.
1.2 How is this data collected ?
This data is supplied to Holme Lea Creations at the time of ordering via Facebook / Website, Paypal and / or Messenger.
1.3 Why do we collect this data?
We require your Full Name & Address so that we can send your parcel to the correct place of residence once it has been completed. We require your email address to send you an invoice and to keep you up to date with your order.
1.4 Do we share this data?
Your data is not shared with or sold to any outside individuals or third parties. Dispatching is currently through Royal Mail or Hermes.
2. Using Your Data for Marketing Purposes:
Holme Lea Creations does partake in external marketing activity - you will receive marketing emails or text messages from time to time, to keep you in the loop of any new items, promotions or discounts.
Photos of completed orders may be shared via Holme Lea Creations Facebook page / Website - any personalised items containing photos, names, etc. will not be shared unless you have given permission to do so.
3. How do we keep your data secure?
3.1 Data stored digitally:
The information collected during ordering with Holme Lea Creations is stored on an order book.
Devices in our possession that have access to our Facebook / Website account are all password protected. We employ security measures on all of our devices to ensure data is stored securely.
3.2 Data stored as a hard copy
We do not print any documents with your information present is then shredded and destroyed.
4. Requesting a Copy of the Data we hold:
4.1 You can request a copy of all the data we currently hold on file for you. We are legally required to provide this to you free of charge and within a month of the original request.
5. Requesting we delete all data we hold:
5.1 If you want us to delete all information we have on file we are legally required to do so should you request it.
6.How long do we keep your data? We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We generally keep your data for 5 years.
